The house is magnificent and the the view from the back deck over the river is sublime. Great house for large parties.

There is a lot of history associated with this property. If you have any connection with or interest in the textile industry, you’ll be interested in learning about the history of this property. The deck out back overlooks the Chattahoochee River and is a beautiful spot to gather and socialize. It is a perfect spot for large groups. We easily managed a sit down diner for 25. Larry is a very accommodating host and cheerfully fulfilled every request we made of him. The furnishings are antiques, but the bedding is modern and comfortable. There are several restaurants downtown within walking distance. There is a large, Viking stove for cooking. The storage in the refrigerator is limited, so you may want to bring a cooler if you have lots of cooking planned. The bathrooms were clean and plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos, etc were provided. The property does sit adjacent to an active rail line, so ear plugs would be a good idea for light sleepers. This is a lovely property.

Phenomenal AU - Penn State Football weekend. Our group ranged in ages from 1 to 78 years and we were all completely enchanted with Larry’s historical home and the incredible Southern hospitality shown to us. While our breakfasts were provided, we walked to dining at Coaches and Hibachi, and the couples spent an evening out locally for drinks and Axe throwing! The provisions and staples provided were a wonderful surprise. My personal favorite spot was a lounge chair for catching the sunrise from the expansive deck overlooking the majestic Chattahoochee River! This weekend was one our family won’t soon forget. Highly recommend! Thank you Larry!

I cannot imagine a better host than Larry, nor a more perfect place to enjoy gathering, than The Magnolia Club! We traveled to GA to host a family reunion in West Point, where our parents grew up. Larry and his stunning historic mansion made it so memorable. There's plenty of room for a large group to gather comfortably and enjoy the river view from both inside and out. We had apps and cocktails on the expansive deck overlooking the river, followed by dinner for 13 in the dining room at a lovely banquet table. It was so great to just go upstairs to sleep (our room had a sweet balcony with a gorgeous tree and river view), versus driving anywhere to sleep. Larry went over the top in helping us plan and execute the perfect event, and he was beyond generous in making huge breakfasts and providing everything we needed. The house is magical. We would love to go back at the earliest opportunity!

Larry was an incredible host! Very attentive when we needed anything. The house is beautiful and in a perfect location on the water and close to downtown. Looking forward to visiting again.
