自我介绍

I started out as guest at all sorts of short-term rentals when I was younger, as I explored 5 continents, 13 countries, and 45 states (so far). I've always especially loved hiking, and hiker accommodations can get especially creative. I’m blessed to have thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, summited all 48 4000’+ peaks of the White Mountains here in New Hampshire, made a pilgrimage on Spain's Camino de Santiago, trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and more! But shortly after my wife Amber and I got married, we wanted to buy a home and settle down, as married couples tend to do. However, houses are expensive, and I work at a non-profit! After some spreadsheet fun, we realized we could make ends meet by purchasing a house where we lived on the ground floor and rented out the upstairs on AirBnB. So that's exactly what we've been doing for several years now, even as our family grew with the addition of baby Leonidas in Spring 2022. Anything in life worth doing will bring intermittent challenges, but our short-term rentals ended up going better than expected -- most of the time for us, and most of the time for the thousands of guests we've now hosted. So we've slowly expanded, gradually adding listings as we've gotten my mother, my sister, and all sorts of friends involved.
