Enjoy easy living in our welcoming lodge where you will find surf, sunshine, sea and mountains. Stay in your private room with a shared guest bathroom and make use of the kitchen, lounge, deck, bar and swimming pool. We are a friendly and independent family who, along with our two English bullterrier dogs, share the Kommetjie lifestyle with like-minded, easy-going travellers. Long Beach is a 6 minute walk away with awesome hikes up the mountain, to the lighthouse and Cape Point Nature Reserve Our home has wooden floors throughout (which can be squeaky) and large airy windows looking onto the pool deck. In the shared kitchen and living space we have a large gas stove, a fridge where you will be allocated your own shelf for cold storage, as well as a private cupboard space for dry goods. Please help yourself to tea and coffee in the mornings (milk in the fridge door) and make use of our seasonings and spices for cooking in the same cupboard. Next to the cooking hob is cooking oil which you are free to use. The general refuse bin is inside the cupboard next to the sink and the recycling bin is next to the back kitchen door by the dogs' water bowl. I stay up the stairs and am usually working in my office space; should you need any assistance please call my name up the stairs to catch my attention. I have three children (now young adults) who come and go during the day but who are mostly out at night. We have a lot of bird life in the area and a troupe of resident peacocks which live up at the top of the road.
