honestly the gorgeous views and privacy was above and beyond!! morning sunrises and evening sunsets made this epic place!! many times woke up with deer in yard !!! was only going to stay 2 weeks maybe in 9 weeks

We had an extended stay while in-between homes. Spectacular sunrises, night sky views, lots of windows and a great deck overlooking a beautiful landscape. Very quiet with the sounds of wind in the trees and birdsong. We arrived in early August in time for picking unlimited amounts of blackberries on the property — they were fat, juicy and practically jumped into the bowl by themselves. It’s located only about 6 minutes from town, so we easily accessed entertainment and took care of business in McMinnville. Easy to take day trips to the coast. Took long, scenic walks up the road (also popular with bicyclists) and enjoyed the countryside in the mornings. Spacious kitchen, living room and bedroom; comfortable bed. Easy to contact Bruce, who takes care of the property, in case anything is needed. Host Shirley responds quickly, too. It was a great transition place; we were very comfortable; were reluctant to leave the view, and begin the arduous unboxing in the new home.

We stayed for 15 days at Shirley's place and I'd love to still be there! It felt like home from the minute we arrived. The sunrise is beautiful along with the sunsets. Being out of town but still close to it was great. I would highly recommend this place. Bruce was a wonderful host and we fell that we became friends. We would love to return someday with our kids and grands. Thank you Shirley and Bruce for the wonderful stay!! Cheryl & Mike Strehlow

Shirley was extremely accommodating, and she answered questions promptly. The house is in a beautiful, quiet area. Its location, about 5 minutes out of town, makes it perfect to wind down after a day of sightseeing and wine tasting. I would rent her house again!
