Point Roberts Attractions
1. Lighthouse Marine Park
It’s a beautiful spot with sun, ocean breezes and viewing the ocean and mountains. You can find a spot on the far side with less people and noise. Good spot to see the sunset in the evening, and to relax in the sun and enjoy a picnic or reading etc. Clean restrooms/washrooms are nearby and there is plenty of free parking. But it is not the best place to swim as the water is very cold. For swimming head to Lily Point or Maple Beach…much warmer.
2. Lily Point Marine Reserve
Just a 5-minute walk to a cliffside view to the south. The interpretive map points out the islands and mountains in the view.
If you want a forested walk, the paths are wide and complete a nice circle, with a few cut-throughs to keep the kids exploring safely.
If you want a hike, there is a secure path to the beach. It's about a 10–15-minute wander down the hillside. There are stairs where needed, but mostly it's a sloping path to a rock/sand beach. Lots of rocks, logs, and history.
A great spot for the whole family to enjoy. Even those with mobility issues will find the paths secure. Clean restrooms/washrooms are nearby and there is plenty of free parking.
3. Maple Beach
The Maple Beach tidelands are a popular area to enjoy swimming, sunbathing, water sports, beach combing, and shellfish harvesting. The tidelands extend out over half a mile at low tide and at high tide there is a small sandy beach. It is the best spot to see the sunrise. Public parking is available at the east end of the following streets: Maple, Cedar, Birch, Alder, and Roosevelt. Public restrooms are available at nearby Lily Point Marine Park.
4. Monument Park
The monument is neat, but the best part is the walk through the woods down to the beach. You can see the boundary markers continue out into the water. The beach is a nice walk with beautiful driftwood and rocks to enjoy, as well as views out towards Vancouver Island. There is a small parking lot, the public restrooms are available at nearby Lighthouse Marine Park.
5. Other activities
• Ride a bike! – Point Roberts is a favorite spot for triathletes doing some serious training, road bicyclers and casual, recreational beach cruisers.
• Eagle watching – Point Roberts has a large population of American Bald Eagles. Watching them, filming videos, and taking pictures are favorite activities for many amateur and professional photographers.
• Bird Watching – 147 species of birds come through Boundary Bay and Point Roberts as part of the Pacific Flyway. Serious and casual birdwatchers enjoy spotting and photographing a rainbow of wild birds.
• Boating, Sailing, Kayaking! – The Point Roberts Marina can host more formal boating and the launching ramp at Lighthouse Park is free for casual boating and kayak launching.
• Hiking – Point Roberts has more than 12 miles of trails in Point Roberts that are easily blocked out as enjoyable day-trip level hikes.
• Whale Watching – It is not guaranteed you’ll see whales, but Point Roberts is one of the best spots in the Georgia Straight to watch for whales. Several Orca pods come by the West and South shores on their regular route in the Salish Sea (Puget Sound). You can not only easily see them and photograph them from the shore, but you can also hear them sing as they come by.
• Golfing – Our Point Roberts Golf Course is an award winning, specially designed course that is open to the public. It's a bit shabby now and for sale...
• Horseback Riding – Point Roberts is a horseback riding paradise. Gentle weather, lots of quiet roads and trails, pastureland, beautiful views, safe beaches, and sea breezes make riding here a treasured experience.
6. Dining and Picnics
There are several very good restaurants in Point Roberts and the Shell Center, International Marketplace and Saltwater Cafe have picnic foods ready for take-out.

• Other restaurants – there are several restaurants that have closed recently: Breakwater's at the Marina, South Beach House, and Eagle's Roost at the Golf Course. Please call or check their websites to make sure restaurants are open, especially in the off-season.

7. The Gift Shop
