Our stay at Mermaid Crossing Cottage went beyond our expectations in every way! We soaked up the views of the constantly changing tides and water activity. A special gift was a closeup view of two eagles fishing in front of the house for hours one afternoon. The cottage is older but very nicely maintained and updated with quality so that it is both very comfortable and charming. Good beds and bedding, wonderful towels, well-supplied kitchen, good appliances, hot water on demand (!). Plenty of comfy furniture on the first floor and multiple sitting areas. Plus one bedroom upstairs has a great sitting area if you really want more privacy. Anyone with mobility issues will want to know that all the bedrooms are on the second floor, and there are stairs to get into the house. We had a wonderful week here. Doreen was also very responsive and we had no problem communicating with her. Thank you, Doreen, for sharing this treasure! It was a great stay. We have special memories.

Mermaid Crossing is absolutely charming and the views are stunning. Doreen was a lovely host and we hope that we can visit again next year. It’s a true Coastal Maine experience.

We had a wonderful stay at mermaid crossing for the week of the Fourth of July. There was plenty of space for all 7 of us and the spacious updated downstairs made for lots of time spent hanging out all tougher. The location couldn’t of been better - it was an easy drive to all of our favorite spots in both Round Pond as well as Pemaquid, but was still quiet and remote enough that we could enjoy our time at the house. Doreen was a wonderful host and her communication was unparalleled - we would hear back from her almost immediately when we’d reach out. We will absolutely be back. :)
