Newly built in 2022, our 400 sq ft bright and cozy 1 BD, 1 BA apartment is centrally located in Sunnyland. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and walkable - 10 minute walk to downtown and Trader Joes and 5 minute walk to many restaurants, breweries and coffee shops. The apartment is meticulously clean and tastefully decorated with private stairway access and designated parking space in driveway off alley. Unfortunately the space is not suitable for children and we have a 2-person maximum. The apartment is above our detached garage and we live in the house on the front of the property. Access requires going up a full flight of stairs, which may be a challenge if you have mobility issues. The separate buildings create a private stay for you in the apartment, but we are on site in case you need anything. There is a private bedroom with a queen bed and a large closet, a fully equipped kitchen with apartment-sized appliances, a full-sized washer and dryer in case you need to wash your clothes after some mountain biking, and a seating area with a comfortable couch and 50” TV to stream your favorite shows.

Staying here was just what I needed! I needed a break from home and did a little staycation in Bellingham. This was the perfect place. I got there after work and saw fresh flowers on the table, the best pastries I have ever had on the counter, treats in the fridge, coffee, and chocolates 🩷 it was relaxing and rejuvenating. I highly recommend this stay!

Jessica's place was cozy and ideally located. It was a short walk or drive to all kinds of interesting places, not to mention good food and craft beverages. This was a great basecamp for all our Bellingham adventures.

I spent three nights at Jessica’s place, which was perfectly suited for my needs as a solo traveler. She provided helpful instructions and photos for self check-in, and I appreciated the off street parking. There were snacks and drinks in the kitchen, which was a nice touch after a day of travel. The neighborhood is very walkable to nearby restaurants and breweries, and a good home base for exploring the area.

The neighborhood is quiet and walkable and close to all kinds of amenities. It's a 15 minute walk to many downtown food and drink options. Or if you want something closer, there are many local breweries and other great options only a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. For groceries, Trader Joe’s is also only a 10 minute walk. Staying in Sunnyland gives you quick access to all of these amenities, but with the advantage of staying in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Some of our favorite nearby food options include:
Avenue Bread – made to order breakfasts and sandwiches for lunch.
El Suenito – for great beer, margaritas, tamales and fish tacos at lunch and dinner.
The Filling Station – for burgers, beer and other American fare at lunch and dinner.

Access to the apartment is from the alley behind our house, and the driveway includes a designated parking spot for one car. Additional parking is available on the street if you have guests. Most things in Bellingham are only a short drive away, but our guests have also said they are able to park their car at the apartment and walk to all of their food and entertainment needs.
