We spent two weeks there, but wish it was longer. We have traveled many places, but the elegance and beauty of this home and surrounding make it our favorite spot ever. Thank you to our most thoughtful and caring hosts (and we will probably never see anyone match your utterly delicious welcome platters for first evening and next day breakfast!). Cooking there and eating outside was heavenly indeed. Perfection!

Ally und Bob sind zwei wahnsinnig herzliche Gastgeber, denen es sehr am Herzen liegt, dass ihre Gäste sich rundum wohlfühlen. Sie waren überaus hilfsbereit, wenn es Probleme gab. Auch Hündin Luna schaut immer mal wieder nach dem rechten oder lässt sich streicheln. Was man auf den Fotos sieht, findet man 1:1 genauso vor. Das kleine Steinhaus ist charmant und komfortabel eingerichtet. Die Terrasse lädt bei gutem Wetter zum Verweilen und Ausspannen ein. Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr ruhige und naturnahe Lage. Gäste, die Ruhe und Abstand vom Alltag suchen, sind hier wunderbar aufgehoben. Das Dorf Moncioni ist dennoch fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Mit dem Auto kommt man auch in 10-15 Minuten zur nächsten Stadt, um alle Besorgungen erledigen zu können. Als Ausflugsziele bieten sich u.A. das Val d‘Orcia, Siena, Florenz, San Ginignano und Arezzo an. Jedoch ist die Unterkunft so schön und ruhig, dass man eigentlich gar nicht mehr weg möchte. I can’t say enough great things about my time with Bob and Ally at their beautiful little house. The view is incredible and so peaceful. I stayed in most days and read books, listened to music, and just RELAXED. The welcome platter is next level and by the end of the week Bob and Ally were family (I was alone and sought out their stories and company; if you don’t want to see them the entire time, that is also completely fine). I walked up to Moncioni a few nights for drinks at the bar and dinner. Drove out to Siena and some other nearby towns. It was everything I wanted in a Tuscan getaway. I will go back and/or go to their France location as well!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation.

When you cross the gates of Podere La Rota, you enter the fairy tale. Bob and Allison are extremely polite, helpful, kind and generous hosts with superb attention to detail. They've thought of everything to make their guests' holiday remarkable. The welcome pack is so generous, it took us a few days to finish it! Having a wine rack in the house stacked with great local wine is a god-send even if you intend to travel to the nearby vineyards. The place is an easy one hour drive from all the main wine-making regions and towns and there are several ways to access Florence without taking a car. The house has everything you may need during a holiday, but also offers dramatic sunsets over the valley, terrific night sky and such tranquility that we forgot all about our phones and Netflix accounts. Luna makes you feel as if it has always been your home, while Room Service makes enigmatic sunrise appearances. Too bad Airbnb review limit doesn't let me describe the full glory of this place!
