• Perched in Alston, Cumbria, in the North Pennines. • Stands on the former site of a 13th-century convent on the banks of the River Nent. • Great location with greenery views of the surrounding area. • Accommodates 5 guests/ 2 king beds, 1 single sofa bed in the games room, and a double sofa bed in the lounge • Free Wi-Fi & free parking are available. • Due to limited parking, please bring no more than two vehicles. • Ironing boards and tea and coffee-making facilities are available. • Hot tub Welcome to Lovelady Shield Hotel! Join us for: Coffee lounge open daily from 11 AM to 4 PM. Afternoon tea available until 6 PM (by prior arrangement only). Sunday roast served from 12 PM to 4 PM. • Please note that you need to buy all your food & drink prior to arrival to cook because the shops are a bit of a distance. • Pets are allowed on this property. Charges apply.

Had a lovely couple of days away, the photos don’t do it justice! The cottage was much larger than anticipated, it has balconies! The surroundings are beautiful, the hottub was private and holds it temperature well. The games room was a bonus we didn’t know we needed!

Lovely from start to finish. Large accommodation and hot tub, added bonus of a stocked games room. Beautiful waterfall walk 11 mins drive away. Very impressed, even doggie treats left for us. Just wish we stayed longer!

Fantastic place to stay. very quiet and facilities just what we wanted. underfloor heating was fantastic for the chilly days.

Gorgeous weekend, especially with the snow. The only downfall was that the hot tub was out of order, & we werent informed until we reached out to ask how to work it & thats one of the main reasons we booked this place. Other than that, the accommodation and location was great

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The advert doesn't do it justice. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Amazing!!
