As a solo female traveler, just wanting to explore Fort de France on foot for a short stay it was perfect. Jean Michel was friendly and communicated with me regularly before and during my stay. I could have walked from the ferry but took a taxi since it was my first time there. I was early and Jean Michel allowed me to leave my bags while the room was being prepared and I explored the city until I was ready to come back. There is a lot to see and do in a day or 2 in Fort de France so you don't need a car unless you plan on venturing out. The room was as beautiful as it looks in the photos. Actually everything is exactly as advertised. I didn't use the AC at all it was very cool. I stayed in all Sunday because it was raining and was very content. It's not a quiet place but I slept well both nights, mostly because I felt very safe. I walked to the bus termail and took the A bus to the airport. It was my first Airbnb experience and it was perfect. Thank you Jean Michel.

The place is clean, nicely decorated and has everything one needs! Very comfortable apartment and location is close to everything in the city. Jean Michel is a welcoming host and was kind enough to allow more flexible check-in and check-out times, which was great - thanks a lot! The only issue for me was that it said in the ad that it is possible to store luggage before/after check-in/out, yet I never received an answer about that when I asked. My boat was late in the evening and there are no independent paid luggage storage options in the city - I could not explore the city as much as I planned on my last day because of that. Also important - the area is indeed very noisy, also at night. I saw the reviews about that, but normally I can tolerate a lot of noise, so I thought it would be ok. However, even for me it was too much and I would not be able to stay more than 2-3 nights. If someone is sensitive to noise or is travelling with children, I would recommend to keep this in mind.

Very good value for money. Clean place. Well located. One small drawback was the lack of cooking ustensiles.

logement bien équipé mais le gros point noir c'est le bruit. je connais bien Fort de France et il y a de nombreux calme tout en étant au centre. Le logement est situé en face d'un carrefour de jour comme de nuit du bruit... il faudrait mettre du double vitrage car on a l'impression de dormir au bord d'une autoroute..
