To be completely honest, I was going to leave a much worse rating and review after being stranded outside the apartment for over 6 hours at check-in, but Yoko/Elsa was very apologetic for the miscommunication and did a lot to make up for the inconvenience. She was very nice and helpful from that point forward. The bed was clean and comfortable and the dorm room was mostly clean but the floor needs to be swept more frequently. The only thing I can't let slide in this review is how dirty the bathroom and kitchen were. The smell coming from the kitchen was noxious and the cockroach infestation was the worst I've ever seen. There were dozens of dead cockroaches inside the fridge that looked like they had been there for weeks if not months. The kitchen was honestly a health hazard. I think Elsa/Yoko has the potential to be a great host, but the common areas needs to be significantly cleaner.

The place is fair for the cost. Good for solo travellers. Great also for group looking for an affordable place to stay. Definitely will recommend it to everybody, If your on a budget. This place is perfect. Greetings from Philippines !

I love this hostel and I spent great time with friends I met in hostels. I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The hostel had a great atmosphere, with a cozy common area and a lively bar. I met some amazing people from all over the world and had a lot of fun. The hostel also offered free laundry service, and WiFi. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a quality and affordable accommodation in Taipei
