We had a wonderful stay for the World Championships. Matt was a great host and everything was as described. The location is in a very nice neighborhood and close to mass transit. We definitely would stay here again.
A comfortable, spacious historic home in a quiet Springfield residential neighborhood with cafes & a market nearby. We enjoyed the well-furnished common areas, lush towels & other special bathroom touches, sunny patio table, cable TV, lots of natural light, updated kitchen, and large dining table. With a historic house, however, come unique features--steep stairs to 2nd floor, scarce closet space, and limited AC. Nonetheless, a wonderful home in which to gather with family and friends! Last but certainly not least, we reserved the house far in advance and Matt was communicative and responsive at every point.
The house is charming and very well-kept. It's only a few blocks from the center of Sprinfield, which has a few pretty good restaurants. One heads up - if you're a football fan and want to watch more football after an Oregon game, the house has only very basic cable. No ESPN, etc. there is also no CNN or cable news.
We felt very fortunate to stay at this residence on a very busy Oregon/UW game weekend. Great location and wonderful, vintage house in a desirable location. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an escape to a smaller town and a great neighborhood. Great communication throughout. 3 full bedrooms plus two smaller rooms designed for smaller kids perhaps. Great house with old world charm!
Matt had everything nicely ready for us in the home. There were even nice welcome gifts on the table. He also left historical background information about the home, and a Eugene magazine outlining things to do. The furnishings in the home all appeared to be brand new and very nice. The home is in an older neighborhood, and some of the homes around are not very well kept, but we always felt safe. This house was absolutely charming and was everything Matt said it would be. He was an awesome host and even sent an email/text after a day or two to see if all was going well. It was a wonderful experience!
