Welcome to Milkwood House ~ Ideal for a small group of friends or families, our house is located in a laid-back residential area in the old French Quarter of Hoan Kiem district, within walking distance of many attractions, food & cafes. [Latest updates] 4.2024: We just added noise-cancelling windows to bedroom #1 to reclaim peace 💤 for babies (and light sleepers). 12. 2023: Wifi upgraded to mesh network (better speed & coverage) 4.2023: Added foam mattress toppers for extra comfort You'll have exclusive access to the entire place. The layout of the rooms is as followed: • The 1st floor is a lounge area. • The 2nd and 3rd floor each has a bedroom and an adjacent bathroom. • The kitchen/dining room & the laundry room's on the 4th floor. So do expect to climb stairs, but you won't need to share the stairs with anyone else :d The house has a warm, joyful atmosphere, and enjoys plenty of natural light.

我们是Yang和Wei，下面是我们的评价。 Yang：非常惊喜，这是我有史以来住过最喜欢的民宿，真正的像本地人一样生活在河内，让我感觉像家一样。房东在厨房里准备了相当齐全的用具，各类调料、餐具、厨具、咖啡、茶，甚至还有大米。楼下就有菜市场、小吃、咖啡店。在家门口买到了新鲜的活虾，喝到了物美价廉的咖啡。坐在厨房里吹风，听到窗户外面的大树发出哗啦哗啦的声音，有炊烟升起又被风吹散，可以坐着发呆一天。退房的时候我的眼镜落在了房子里，联系房东后，他问了我们第二天的地址，叫grab帮我把眼镜送过来，还贴心的装在了眼镜盒里，非常感谢👍房东特别热情友好！他推荐了很多家咖啡店，我们去了其中一家，我喜欢那儿的冰淇淋华夫饼。下次回来河内绝对绝对会再次入住的。 wei：很特别的房子，一层楼就是一个房间，上下楼梯穿梭在各个房间，很有趣。个人建议打扫的时候不要用湿拖把拖楼梯，我入住的时候楼梯上残留的水很长时间不干，增加上下楼梯的安全隐患，当然这与潮湿的天气密切相关，总而言之，我非常喜欢这个房子，处处细节都让我感受到房东的体贴和善意，希望可以再次入住↖(^ω^)↗，很喜欢留言板上的文字和涂鸦～
Had an incredible stay at Nam's place. He was an amazing host who provided great recommendations and insights to Hanoi! The house was clean, comfortable and extremely well located. Walking distance to the old quarter. 100% recommend staying here!
Lovely place and lovely host!
I and a friend stayed at Milkwood House for two days and wish we had planned to stay longer. The house is well-equipped and felt just like home, we each had our private space and enjoyed hanging out together and working remotely on the sun-filled top floor. It is located in a neighborhood with personality and surrounded by lots of coffee shops, but staying in and ordering take-aways would be lovely as well !

Lively neighborhood. Just footsteps away from local cafes & food, and also a local wet market for those who prefer cooking. Within walking distance, you can take a stroll around Hoan Kiem lake, explore the Old Quarter, and find various other attractions.
Local buses are not foreigner-friendly, so we recommend traveling by metered taxi or ride-sharing apps. The most common ride-sharing apps are Grab, Be, and Gojek, and normally require a local SIM card.
