We loved our time at Sheila & Rodney’s. It’s located right at the edge of Saguaro National Park so I was able to hike many of their amazing trails with minimal travel. Their casita is exceptionally clean with 2 large ensuite bedrooms and very comfortable beds. It was luxurious, beautifully decorated & very functional. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful 12 minute drive thru the park to the nearest grocery store & the nearby multitude of great shopping stores & restaurants……especially Guadalajara’s Mexican cuisine. (a “must try” are the lobster enchiladas) Our favourite golf course, Quarry Pines, was only 15 minutes away. If you enjoy tranquility with businesses not too far away, then this casita is perfect. This was easily one of the most beautiful and well-appointed homes and I’ve stayed in since using Airbnb. The front porch and two rear patios have extremely comfortable furniture- perfect spots for drinking coffee as we watched the sun rise and relaxing after the day’s outings while watching the sun set over the mountains. The house is close to the Sonora Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park trails and Visitor Center. I cannot say enough about our host’s generous spirit, quick response to any questions or recommendations and how Sheila made us feel so welcomed and at home in her beautiful home.

A wonderful place literally across a small street from Saguaro National Park West. This is such a peaceful place—quiet with plenty of wildlife (quail, rabbits, finches visited the property) and clean air. The place itself is clean and the dwelling itself and the furniture are in new condition. Sheila is a perfect host—helpful when you need it, but respectful of privacy otherwise. 5 stars all around! If you need a respite from things, Sheila’s place is a perfect spot to land in the Sonoran Desert.

Loved our stay! Very peaceful and quiet and we loved driving through the Saguaro National Park. It was so beautiful. A definite 5/5!

This home is so beautiful & almost right in the middle of the Saguaro National Park. Skys are dark, full of stars & although you are 30 minutes from downtown Tucson, the drive home each night was like entering a wonderful dream driving through the park to the house. I would not let that deter you . There is a village just 15 minutes out of the canyon where you can find all you need & hop right onto the interstate. So many hikes all around us to choose from and the Desert Museum is very close as well. The home is super clean, wonderful comfy beds, Sheila is lovely & so helpful. Her design & sense of beauty is everywhere you look. The kitchen well stocked, so many linens, comfy couch for movies & a fireplace. We felt right at home & were sad to leave! We will be back! True Southwest feelings all around.
