'Yer-Tiz' is in a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Glastonbury. We are just a 5minute drive from Glastonbury town centre – wander down through the High Street with it’s eclectic array of independent shops; take in the history of the Abbey and enjoy the peaceful grounds there; make time to stop off at the Chalice Well and enjoy a moment of reflection; learn about the social and agricultural side of people living in the locality through the ages at The Rural Life Museum; or if you have the strength take a walk up Somerset’s iconic landmark – Glastonbury Tor – and enjoy far reaching views (weather permitting) across the Somerset levels and beyond.
We are just up the road from Millfield Prep School and 3.7 miles in the other direction from the Glastonbury Festival site - the World famous music festival held in June.
We are also conveniently located for visiting Street (the home of Clarks Village) if you are in need of a little retail therapy, or maybe take a swim in the outdoor pool open during the summer months; or just a 15 mins drive you will find Wells (the smallest city in England) with it’s beautiful 12th Century Cathedral, The Bishop’s Palace and gardens and the Market Place. Surrounding Glastonbury itself we have many places to connect with nature with 3 nature reserves close by: RSPB Ham Wall, Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve and Hawk and Owl Trust Shapwick Moor Nature Reserve. There are many woodland walks to be found within a 15 minute drive too :Walton Hill, Ivythorn Hill and Coombe Hill Wood all have marked paths, great viewpoints and space to picnic.
Throughout the year the Bath & West showground (8.4 miles from us) hosts a variety of events from 'Truckfest' to craft shows, the 'Homebuilding and Renovation show' to the 'NASS' festival (a celebration of music, street art, skate and BMX).
Glastonbury town itself has lots going on too - there are numerous events celebrating various faiths and spiritual paths; a medieval fayre, the 'Musical Extravaganza' and 'Night at the Abbey' in the Abbey grounds in August; Frost Fayre in November, and of course the spectacular sight of the illuminated procession of carnival floats that light up the skies above our town in mid November.

There is dedicated parking on our large drive for up to 2 cars.
If travelling car free we are 1.8 miles from Glastonbury Town centre bus stop where buses from Bristol and Bath run regularly and there's a daily service to/from London Hammersmith with Berrys' Coaches.
Our nearest railway stations are Castle Cary (13.8 miles) or Bridgwater (16.3 miles) - buses run from Bridgwater to Glastonbury but public transport is more difficult from Castle Cary. For international visitors arriving at Bristol airport there is a shuttle bus service (the Airport Flyer) that connects with Bristol bus and coach station and then regular buses on the 376 service onward to Glastonbury town hall.
There is a footpath from our property alongside the main A361 road into Glastonbury (passing Glastonbury Tor on the way).
