I stayed in a lovely hut right on the lakeside. With a beautiful view, I had everything I needed inside for a peaceful stay - including power, coffee making facilities a fridge and a lovely, comfy bed. I was almost next door to the lovely cafe (which served the most delicious veggie breakfast), and I was less than a minute walk to the toilets and shower block (which were checked regularly and all kept exceedingly clean). It was much busier than I expected but I really didn’t mind that. Actually, I rather liked that part of it and everyone was so happy and smiley and friendly! Easy to see why it’s such a popular place. It’s also perfectly placed for exploring lots of pretty villages and country pubs (I can highly recommend the Queen’s Head a short walk away) and in West Sussex, you are never far from endless footpaths, woods and stunning countryside. Perfect if you have your doggies with you! I had ever such a lovely time and I definitely will come back. Just a question of when!

Booked up one of their shepherds huts very last minute (about 2 hours between booking and arriving!) for a much needed ‘unplug and recharge’… and I have to say the hut was perfect. With the log burner it was super cosy, the bed was amazingly comfy and me and my 3 dogs were totally at ease and had a chance to ‘reset’ for few hours. Then on top of that had one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time… I’m afraid to recommend this place too strongly as it might prevent me booking it again if everyone else gets there before me!! 🤣
