Jussy · 整套出租单元 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Agréable studio en pleine campagne genevoise
The studio is in the middle of the beautiful Geneva countryside on the left bank, with no nuisances. You get there by walking through our little stable, and each time you arrive you'll be greeted by our ponies, horses and dogs. All nice and friendly. Not only is the studio equipped with all the comforts you could wish for, it is also surrounded by a fence so that you can enjoy the magnificent terrace and view without being disturbed by our animals. This accommodation (non-smoking) is self-contained and is the only habitable part on the ground floor of our house at garden level. We live above and have our own terraces. It comprises a large room with a kitchen, a double bed, a sofa, a table and a bathroom. In front of the studio there are two large fenced terraces where you can enjoy the view and the sun without being disturbed by our many pets who are often in the garden.
Marie-Pierre has created a beautiful space with indoor and outdoor private and accessible and to get to them one passes two delightful horses and friendly dogs. But the farm is near Geneva and on both sides of the border there is huge amounts of surveillance and traffic calming infrastructure which makes getting around quite weird. If you want to see how the technocrats & globalists are building urban surveillance infrastructure even in rural areas staying here will be informative. But it does not make for a relaxing holiday. Our car was snapped by a speed camera in the night near the Airbnb on a straight road with no housing where the Speedo showed 2 kph about an arbitrary 50 kph limit. Local towns are also very hard / impossible to get into by car.
Excellent séjour chez Marie-Pierre. Un endroit très calme et reposant aux portes de Genève. Marie-Pierre est de plus très sympathique et arrangeante, je recommande vivement!
It's the countryside, peace and quiet and wonderful walks all around the house. Woods, mountains, lake, everything is available and not far away. The famous Jussy woods are practically in front of the house, the lake is a 10-minute drive away, and the high mountains (Chamonix, Mont Blanc) are a 45-minute drive away. The village is a 3-minute walk away, where you'll find a bakery (closed on Monday, Chez Martine on the village square (breakfast from 6am, restaurant at lunchtime and bar in the evening), the Auberge de Jussy restaurant, the town hall (which also doubles as a post office) and a doctor's surgery.
From Jussy it's easy to get around by public transport. We have a bus (39) which stops 100 m from our house and goes directly to Vésenaz where you will find all sorts of useful food and non-food shops as well as restaurants. Take the one that goes towards Pointe à la Bise. There's about one bus an hour from Monday to Saturday, but not on Sundays. In the village there is the 32, which runs more often, even on Sundays, and will take you directly to the CEVA station (a kind of Geneva metro) at Chêne-Bourg. From there, you can go to different parts of Geneva, Annecy, Evian, Lausanne or simply to Geneva station (Cornavin). From Cornavin station you have all the connections to the rest of Switzerland and the rest of the world. Otherwise, by car, we are only 15 - 20 minutes from Geneva city centre, which is a great place to visit. Its famous Jet D'Eau, its old town, St Pierre's cathedral and of course the trips on the lake in the paddle steamers typical of our Swiss lakes.
The network to consult for bus timetables in Geneva is the TPG (Geneva public transport). You can of course register online, which will make it easier for you to buy your tickets online. But this application is only for Geneva buses.
For my part, I find it almost easier to download the Mobile CFF application (which is the application for our Swiss trains). It allows you to take all tickets for Swiss public transport (trains, buses and some boats) and in all Swiss cities. This application is easy to use, but like all applications, it's better to download it before your journey than when you're getting on the bus. These applications always take a while to get going. Avoid taking risks when travelling without a ticket. Switzerland doesn't joke about this, and it can be expensive.
A typical little trip in Geneva are the "mouettes" (seagulls). If you go down to the lake, you'll see little yellow boats sailing in the harbour. These are Geneva's 'mouettes', which are like buses, but they travel across the lake. There are several ports from which you can take them and it's well worth making a trip or two with them. On the quays, after the port "La Nautique", at the "Port Noir" you have one that goes to the other side to the "Perle du Lac" then after walking a little you can take another at the "Pâquis" that takes you back to the harbour or to the "Jardin Anglais". When the weather's fine, it's great to make these short trips on the water.
