Thank you very much for the invaluable experience of stay.The bedroom is traditional Japanese style tatami room which is very comfortable. There is kitchen space for cooking with various appliances such as microwave and oven.We also appreciate the relaxing Kotatsu space and indoor swing. Bath room and toilet is also clean, big, and comfortable. Hosts are very kind and nice. They provide a very meticulous dinner and breakfast. The meals are very delicious. We wanted to see the night sky on the mountain and they kindly wanted us to drive us there (Even though in the end, we didn’t went there since the sky are cloudy). My partner and I really enjoyed staying at Akira and Eiko’s home. We would have loved to stay longer - maybe next time! It was just like visiting a loving grandparents’ home, full of warmth, sweetness and comfort. We had dinner with Akira and his wife, who prepared many local delicacies as well as sharing some extremely delicious homemade pickles. The evening spent together was delightful and we felt really touched by their hospitality and kindness. When we drove away, they gave us a grand sending off and could see them waving even when we had already left the village. It was a really special experience.

If I had to describe with only one japanese idiom my stay in Akira-san and Eiko-san's 'Inu yama hime"' house, it will be "一期一会" ("one time, one meeting"). It was the cherry on top of my trip in Shikoku's beautiful rural japanese life, thanks to them I was able to participate in a local festival with only few people from the small village. I will always be thankful of how everyone of them gave me a warm welcome as a foreigner who was visiting this small part of Japan. The location of the house is far away from the main city Kôchi, so be aware that you absolutely need a rental car in some way to get there and also to enjoy to the fullest the many treasures that Kôchi prefecture has to offer (Tengu Highland, Niyodo River with Yasui Valley, Yusuhara's beautiful Library and so on). The owners of this house gave me recommandations and advices on which road to take for it to be less dangerous and I'm really grateful for this, so don't hesitate to ask them anything !
