Great stay, in a beautiful villa. Just what we were looking for!

Villa is 10 min drive away from Tavira in the countryside. The views are amazing. We were a family of four with a five and one year old and really enjoyed our stay. Gabriele was very responsive before and during our visit as we had a couple queries. It has everything you need during your stay.

Das Haus hat das gewisse Extra. Gelegen etwas außerhalb von Tavira oben auf dem Berg, ruhig, Blick in die Berge. Tavira ist mit seinen vielen kleinen Restaurants aber schnell erreichbar. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Sehr gutes WLAN, eine Photovoltaikanlage heizt den schön angelegten Pool, so dass man jederzeit schwimmen gehen kann und trotzdem ein "gutes Klimagewissen" haben kann. Die Matratzen in den Betten im Erdgeschoss und auf der ersten Etage sind wohl aufgrund der erfolgten Hinweise der Vormieter offensichtlich neu angeschafft worden, insofern gab es auch hier keine Kritikpunkte. Uns hat besonders gut gefallen, dass das Haus mehrer Terrassen, Ecken und Nischen hat, so dass man bei jedem Wetter immer ein schönes Plätzchen findet. Es war eine perfekte Zeit, wir kommen definitiv wieder!!

We were slightly disappointed and don’t feel it was good value for money. It’s the first time I’ve stayed in an AirBNB like this and not been welcomed with a bottle of wine, which says a lot. There were also only 4 toilet rolls, no cleaning products, no pool games, charcoal, etc. that you’d expect for such a high price. Many reviews mention the uncomfortable bed which I queried with the owner before our trip. I was told there’s nothing wrong with the bed and perhaps previous guests are just heavy! The bed on the ground floor is unacceptable, the slats need replacing as there’s a huge dip in the middle resulting in 2 weeks of back ache. There’s also no comfortable seating inside as there’s only 1 tiny sofa. It’s not clear from the description that the bedrooms are on separate floors, and that there’s no bathtub. It states the property isn’t suitable for under 2’s, although it’s not really suitable for under 6’s. Apart from that the pool, BBQ, surrounding area and views were great!

The house is beautifully situated, with a view to both the mountains by the pool and down towards the sea at the front. It is about 10 minutes and drive to Tavira. You need a car to stay here. Everything you need can be found in the house, and we were even allowed to borrow beach towels. There was a problem with ants when we were there, and even though we got ant spray, there were only more and more during the week. Especially problematic in the kitchen. There is air con in all rooms, but the upper bedroom did not allow itself to be cooled. The beds could use new mattresses, because they were not very comfortable to sleep on. There was a rental company that met us and they were very helpful and welcoming. The house was so clean when we arrived and the pool was lovely!
