HEATING AND AIR- Controlled by a nest thermostat, there is central heat and air. This old home has minimal insulation so being mindful of a continuous run on the system can be very costly please be considerate. The house heats and cools very rapidly but may not hold the temperature while away. Please be mindful about temperature when not at home- turning the thermostat to Eco mode can help save on the utility bill and keep the nightly rate offerings low. Excessive use could lead to surcharge to guests if inappropriate usage. SECURITY- There are many security features built in and provide plenty of protection. As with every location especially in a city center, being mindful of unwanted guests is critical to your own security and safety as well as the protection of the assets of the home. Please always lockup, and if you chose to use additional security measures, locks and alarms are provided and instructions for use. It is always a guest’s personal responsibility to lockup vehicles and personal property as well as protecting the assets of the rental during your stay.
Beautiful, peaceful and absolutely relaxing place to unwind. Cassie is an outstanding host that is responsive and proactive in communicating. Will absolutely book again and recommend to friends and family. Could not have been more delighted with our time in Redding and more importantly feeling at home with Cassie’s amazing home.
Cassie was responsive before and during our stay. She even checked in with us after our stay to see if we had any feedback. The house is gorgeously decorated and didn’t feel like it was over a century old. Beds were very comfortable and the linens were decadent. We were able to easily walk to the sundial bridge and downtown. As a group of 2 women and a child, we felt safe. The house is located near a couple of big streets, so you can hear road noise. During our stay, there were neighborhood cats in heat, so the meowing woke me up. We did not go into the backyard except to take out the trash and that’s when we discovered the half bath! LOL Checkout procedures were simple. We didn’t have to half clean the house like some other airbnbs. Definitely will stay again when we are next in town.
This little home on the edge of downtown Redding is a jewel. House is 1930s (?) and it overflows with vintage character. It is very clean and very well cared for. We immediately felt at home and were made comfortable with all the upgrades in this infrastructure, decorating, and amenities. The location is very quiet, yet within a short walk to downtown coffee shops and restaurants. And the host could not have been more pleasant and communicative; it was clear that our comfort was very important to her. In sum, my wife and I agreed this was the most satisfying AirBnB experience we’ve ever had. I would give it 6 stars if I could find another star!
Easy Free OnStreet parking, at the house.
Rental bikes available through Redding BikeShare kiosk in front of house and throughout downtown.
Bird Scooters available throughout downtown.
Visiting around downtown-
Most Downtown Parking is easy to park but there are now fee kiosks and Flow app requirements in some areas. Be mindful of one-way streets and paid parking areas.
