Beautiful home absolutely loved it. Hosts are amazing with communication. Highly recommend it!
Great stay, no issues with the hosts at all as they were quite accommodating. It was also a bit uncomfortable to stay in an AIRBNB where it’s clear the host lives there with their personal items in the fridge, drawers, wardrobe and pantry fully stocked. Other than that, house was quite clean, easy to access, and we appreciated the ability to use the washing machine & have access to kids toys. Great stay.
+ The house was stunning, beautifully kept, tidy and a good size for what we were after. - The code we were given for the front door lock was not the right one and we would have been stuck if the owner’s mother hadn’t come down as we arrived. The house was clearly the owners permanent residence and was filled with their personal items including a fully stocked kitchen. I found this quite off putting as I wasn’t made aware of this and it made us feel uncomfortable being in someone else’s home and putting our own food and drinks in their already stocked fridge and cupboards. The house was also filled with lots religious items - I’m not against this, but in all honesty, it’s not what I want to be surrounded by on my holidays as I am not a religious person at all. The house also lacked some basic items that I would expect an Airbnb to have - kitchen spray, wine glasses, pepper, TV… We also had multiple people knocking on the door seeking the owners which detracted from our trip a bit
Great comfortable set up for my family gathering for a few days. Modern decor and very well appointed. Kitchen, lounge and outdoor area are all great usable spaces. Comfy beds and modern functional bathrooms. I recommend Blair's chalet and i will seek to stay thier on my next visit.
Cooranbong is a peaceful rural suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, west of the town of Morisset off the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway. The highlights of the area are the remarkably beautiful bushwalks and panoramas overlooking the coastline which can be experienced in the Watagans National Park to the west of the town. Near by is the Hunter Valley and the Hunter Gardens, Blackbutt Reserve, Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, and Avondale College (all within a 3 to 40 minute drive).
Avondale Shopping Village is 1km down the road and has all the basic necessities including; post office, café, grocery & general store, chemist and take-away shop.
The Cooranbong park is only 500m away where children can play on the playground or families can have a picnic on the field and food vans congregate for "Eat Street" on the first Sunday of every month.
Avondale College, the South Seas Islands Museum and Sunnyside (an historic home occupied between 1896-1900 by Ellen Gould White, one of the founders of the Seventh-Day Adventist movement) are all located in the township and worth visiting.
