Eagle’s Nest is a 2 Bedroom/2 Full Bathroom, Wheelchair Accessible 1,562 (including decks) sq ft cabin for rent on 12 acres that overlooks Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We designed and built 'Eagle's Nest' to accommodate anyone. This cabin is Wheelchair Accessible with a sidewalk and wheelchair ramp. The large master bedroom and bathroom include enough space to turn a wheelchair within a 5 foot radius. We’ve created a thoughtful home with everyone in mind. Eagle’s Nest is perched on a 2200 ft elevation ridge with breathtaking views of Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This home is 1,562 sq ft (including partially covered decks). This home is completely ADA compliant with a wheelchair accessible ramp on the left side of the home. There is full access to the kitchen, living area, master bedroom, and master bathroom....all provide at least a 5 ft radius to easily accommodate wheelchair access. We’ve created a walk in shower for the wheelchair accessible bathroom with grab bars, a sitting bench and step stool to use in the shower. The chef’s kitchen has been provided with everything you need to make gourmet meals at home. There is a full size washer/dryer, top of the line refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. The bedrooms house luxury queen beds and wardrobes for clothes. The best part is that each room has windows featuring gorgeous views of Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This home is immersed in nature, so prepare to hear birdsong all around you. To really enjoy the outdoors, we’ve provided a picnic table, deck furniture, a fire pit with starter firewood, and a charcoal grill for evening meals under the stars.
