This cabin is, and always will be my favorite Airbnb! The host is amazing and has made my family feel like we’re staying at a best friend’s cabin from day one! The neighboring homes have long time residents that I wouldn’t know were there if I didn’t see them leave regularly. Plus, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful in the evenings, and on the rare occasion, there are noises outside (like passing donkeys!) as long as the windows are closed you wouldn’t know they were there either.😊 You won’t regret your decision to stay here, so just book it already!!!

This house has been an amazing escape from the challenges that brought me back home to California! It’s located close enough to the lake that a fishing trip or running into town is totally doable on a bike if you want to really see the nature up close. There always seems to be fish to catch of varying kinds and sizes if you enjoy fishing and the hiking trails make you feel like you’re walking through a renaissance painting. Also, I have yet to see a boring sunset here, each and every one is so gorgeous that my cloud storage is getting full already from sunset pictures alone! The cabin itself is warm and homey and my fur babies adore the massive fenced in yard. The neighborhood and city is so quiet that at night you can hear…nothing. There are nature sounds like coyotes howling in the far distance and the occasional cricket or frog but largely it is so quiet that a whisper feels loud. It’s comforting and calming and a wonderful place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Big Bear!

When a family emergency kept me in California for much longer than planned Austin was willing to allow me to book his wonderful cabin for an extended time. It has helped so much having a beautiful place to come back to in the evenings after hard and emotional days. Some hosts at previous Airbnbs I’ve stayed at before have either been unavailable or annoyingly overbearing. Austin has maintained being a perfect host that checks in from time to time to make sure we’re doing okay but is never ever overbearing which I appreciate more than I can put in words, especially now. You could ask for a better host and you couldn’t ask for a more peaceful welcoming beautiful cabin to stay in for your trip. This place isn’t five stars, it’s ten!

This is my second stay with Austin, that’s how much we loved the house! In fact we love it so much we decide to extend our stay extensively and I plan to write my much longer review after we check out. Safe to say, there is nothing about the cabin we don’t like. The neighbors are amazing and don’t seem annoyed by the fact the home is an Airbnb and they have made me feel welcome every time we interact. I checked in at the beginning of the huge storm that hit Big Bear this year, the one that saw the roads on and off the mountain closed, and the house did great. The roads nearby were plowed enough that my two-wheel drive SUV was able to get in and out of the neighborhood just fine. Basically, it was a great place to be despite the extreme weather so we could relax and enjoy our stay!
