Host was very responsive. Location was centrally located. Dark driveway. Delivery people had a hard time finding how to deliver. Space was as described. Comfortable stay for the most part. Bed was too soft (but obviously this is just personal preference).

The location was perfect! The pool was very nice. The host was very responsive. I'd have to agree with past reviews that it's priced too high for the quality. It needs a lot of maintenance and updating!! We wouldn't stay again at the price we paid. Sliding doors didn't close, the pool deck is falling apart and there's just no love or character put into the home. It has great potential.

Let me clarify my 3-star review in as much detail as 1,000 characters allows. The location is great, host is super responsive. Main bath is large, remodeled and shower is huge. Pool is clean and warm! The layout is really cool, almost 2 separate residences with the 2 bedrooms. Those are the pros. The cons: The house is very, very dated. The oven doesn't work (won't heat about 100 degrees), stovetop does. floors are crazy worn and extremely uneven--like structurally wrong. The order is bad, we bought 2 candles and kept them lit while we were there--that helped a lot. Every feature of the property is old, unkept and needs updating. If you're going to charge a premium, we paid 9.7k for 5 nights then you need to offer a much nicer place. I'm in finance, i understand supply/demand however after exploring prior reviews this has been brought up and clearly just ignored. We had a great time, we'll be back to KW, just not this location unless the costs were 50% less.

I completely enjoyed my stay at Helen’s Hideaway. It’s amazing how private it feels yet it’s right in the heart of everything. The pool is amazing and was a perfect temperature, it was so nice to hit the town and after a long day of walking, coming back to the private pool. We stayed during Fantasy Fest which is a very busy time and Duval street is filled yet you couldn’t hear any of the hustle and bustle at the hideaway. Plus having a private parking spot and being able to walk everywhere is just so stress free. The hosts were extremely helpful and very responsive. I’d choose this place for every Key west visit.
