Petworth town centre is just a mere 5-minute walk away with its fair share of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, lots of art galleries, antique and boutique shops. Over the road is Petworth House and Deer Park, a 17th-century stately home now owned by the National Trust, and contains the finest art collection. It also has a beautiful deer park for wonderful country walks and a great coffee shop. The cottage is just 10 minutes’ drive from Cowdray (the Home of Polo) with a farm and coffee shop. The Weald and Downland Living Museum (location of the TV show ’The Repair Shop’) is 20 minutes drive away and is also dog friendly.
