Really enjoyed our stay! We had very few issues during our stay-some of which were just miscommunication on our part. - I.e. we thought the pool was dirty with algae but just previous staining before being replastered (the host explained this to us). - We also had issues with the elevator but that’s because we kept putting it in a manual safety mode, as we weren’t familiar with residential elevators. However the host was very patient with us and came out to do a manual reset as well as elaborately explained how to use it properly before leaving and had no further issues. - Lastly, the only other issue during our stay was the A/C when we got there it was 78F upstairs, we tried to adjust the thermostat but learned it was controlled remotely not through the house thermostat. I informed the host and they adjusted but it never cooled. Later concluded that the A/C coils had froze and had someone come out to look at this. I do wish A/C could be controlled by guest, however, no complaints.

Location is near the marsh and a block or so to the Garden City pier. This area floods with any substantial rain and/or a King Tide which happened a few days before we checked in. Their pool is not protected from marshwater intrusion. Not sure if we would have used it, but the filtration system drowned and it was not usable. The elevator also would not work consistently. The handyman came out, it worked while he was there and then an hour later, it couldn't be called. The elevator was the reason I chose this home over others in the area. It is an older home and needs some maintenance but is overall comfortable. Love that there are two laundry areas and two fridges! Any time we called about an issue, the owners addressed it right away even though it was a holiday. Cleaner than many hotels in the area.

The house was beautiful. The hosts were responsive to all of our needs. Nice area with a great bar down the street. Steps from the beach!
