The room looked similar to the online post. In real life the room was not as spacious or clean as the pictures. 

The kitchen was poorly equipped with 2 non-matching forks and few spoons and one knife that was so dull I could run my thumb over it and not cut myself. The bed did not have a mattress pad which made it a bit gross. Found bits of stuff in the carpet. No dimmable lighting, not even a 3-way on the one table lamp. I was woken up by someone walking above the room at 1:45am. I could hear people talking upstairs. This was not a pleasant place to stay.

Our plans changed last minute and we were lucky to book this place on short notice - unfortunately that is the end of the praise I can give for this listing. If you are looking for the absolute bare minimum an airbnb has to offer, this listing will do the job. If you are seeking an airbnb with the comforts of home, or any kind of charm, look elsewhere. There was a strong chemical smell upon entering that we quickly realized was cleaner used to cover up the unfortunate aroma this basement apartment has to offer. The second “bed” was a broken futon that was unusable. The smart TV could not connect to the wifi, making it also unusable. No extra blankets, pillows, or sheets. Sparse utensils (seriously, just one singular fork, & no knives). If you are looking for a roof over your head & a place to crash, this will do the trick (for a pretty penny). If you want to be comfortable during your stay, reconsider.

My sister, husband and I stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. Each day we left in the morning and came back late at night to sleep. Overall we were OK until the last night. The good: early checking with no charge, change of towels. The bad: very cold apartment, several missing items (linens for sofa bed, kitchen items, hair dryer) that were provided after notifying the host. Hard to tell who the responsible host was (Katerin or Edison) as both of them were responding to emails. There was little coordination between them. The ugly: The host had a party upstairs (we were in the basement). The constant noise by people and a dog running were unbearable. We called and emailed the host immediately but received no answer. After 3:00 am, I went up and talked with Edison who apologized and offered 1 night refund which we eventually received. Frankly, the refund was not sufficient for the terrible night and the lack of sleep. The management of this unit leaves a lot to be desired.

Enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the area. Wasn’t hard to find thanks to gps on phone. Tree needs to be trimmed so you don’t have to duck under to the entrance, it rained on day and got drench form the leaves. Really not a issued as I would most likely book again in the area.

First I would like to say Edison was responsive to our request to replace the coffeemaker. Regarding the accommodations: sparsely furnished. No dresser/luggage rack to put your bags on. We had to use the kitchen stools to keep our bags off the floor. So no sitting in the kitchen area. The closest had 4 freebie plastic hangers obviously leftover from a clothing purchase. We had one night stand so who ever slept on the side of the bed with no nightstand had to put their stuff on the carpet. The couch was simply awful plain & simple. The “kitchen” was well…one fork, one bowl, a few spoons, paper plates. NO toaster. The trash can had one bag, no top so we had the pleasure of looking at our garbage for a week. The shower held water, the bathroom seemed unfinished. The noise from the dogs upstairs was ridiculous. The place has NO windows, we felt like we were in a cave. We have our own short term rental so we’re familiar with the basic niceties to offer our guests. Pulling onto the road :(
