The title does not disappoint! This was truly an "experience". David's home is situated right on the ocean, and the sounds of the timeless dance of the unchoreographed waves against the lava is something I've never experienced. The customized window allows you to keep the shutters open at night and sleep to the ocean. I've never stayed so close. It was a bit stormy that night, so the sounds were amplified and it was beyond amazing. You really have a chance to contemplate nature and time: this ancient and timeless version of nature juxtaposed the fleeting moment the finite. Enough waxing poetic, but I really felt that this short of stay awakened in me a realization of the scope and vastness of nature, and I'm grateful for that. The inside was meticulous, the bed comfortable, the shower is glamorous, and David provides any you'd need for a stay. He was also super personable and friendly. He gave the best recommendations. Perfect stay! Perfect host! Beautiful in and out!

My stay here was ideal for a few nights after a retreat in Kealakekua Bay. I loved being close to the ocean and I could enjoy the full moon rising one night. David was helpful with suggestions so I could go to a beach to swim, and I took a trail he suggested to see some sea turtles.

The location is very nice being right on the ocean. It was fun to see the waves crashing right in the backyard
