Front door did not unlock for more than 40 minutes; it took us dozens of attempts until it finally gave in. The moment we got into our bedroom, we’ve got smacked in the face with the the strongest, most obnoxious chemical scent and from there, it just got worse: the scent was coming from the beddings, comforter, pillow cases & towels. The towels were damp, which helped to trap the chemical scent and a weird ‘sticky to the touch’ feeling. The shower knob was locked and therefore unfit for using it. After trying and realizing we wouldn’t be able to sleep (after more than an hour of sneezing and tearing up) we finally kindly asked the host if he could provide us a set of scent fee beddings and dry towels, to which he responded stating he’d prefer us to cancel our reservation, which means we had to scramble at 1AM to find available places to relocate and pay for the multiple Uber rides. Being myself an Airbnb 5 star & SuperHost, frustrating is the least I could say about this stay.
