A cosy cottage full of charm and original features. The 'old ruin' terrave, super in the summer, log burning stove, warm and cosy in the winter. A great 'get away', and perfect all year round retreat. The cottage is situated in a small hamlet of 3 houses and very rural but only a few minutes from the medieval market town of Lassay les Chateaux. This unusual little cottage has a real snug feel with big comfy armchairs, woodburning stove, spiral staircase and balcony bedroom, There is also high speed fibre optic internet connection and connected TV. On the first floor , a big comfortable bed, bathroom with rolltop bath and a light, airy sitting area which looks out over the garden, great for a good book. Outside space offers off road parking, lawns and flower beds. Wooden terrace to the frount of house and 'the old ruin' terrace to the side. The ruin has a bbq and fire pit and seating area.

Jennifer was a great host, she accommodated us at short notice and had the property ready and spotless the same day. Communication was great with clear instructions on how to find the property and gain access and Jennifer was on hand to speak to us when we had questions.

Beautifully decorated country cottage on a quiet lane surrounded by nature. We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is set up very comfortably and cosily and made us feel right at home. The well-kept garden was amazing for lounging around in on a warm day and having a bbq in! Our host Jennifer was very friendly, provided us with all the information we needed and got back to us very quickly with any queries we had. Thank you for the enjoyable stay!
Le logement de Jennifer est parfait pour quelques jours au vert et au calme. Les environs et le cadre sont très agréables et on se sent tout de suite chez soi. La maison est pleine de charme, particulièrement la vaste pièce très lumineuse à l'étage! Nous avons pu profiter de l'extérieur pour un barbecue printanier et avons même eu la chance d'apercevoir un chevreuil au fond du jardin! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir en été !

La maison était pleine de charme et la chambre était spacieuse et confortable avec toutes les commodités. L'emplacement était idéal pour des promenades dans la campagne environnante. La ville magnifique de Lassay-le-Château est à seulement quelques minutes en voiture et offre une belle architecture médiévale ainsi que des cafés et restaurants charmants. J'ai apprécié le calme et la tranquillité de l'endroit, ce qui en faisait une escapade parfaite de la ville. Dans l'ensemble, je recommande vivement à Saint-Marie-du-Bois pour tous ceux qui cherchent à passer un séjour paisible et relaxant dans un cadre champêtre. C'est une expérience authentique de la vie à la campagne.
