It was beautiful place and we had a great time
Very nice! My kids had plenty of room and things to do. Close enough to drive to St.Louis and spend the day there!
We were so happy to have chosen to stay at this resort. The on site amenities kept us all busy and having fun, and the living quarters were spacious and beautiful. I read Holiday Inn's recommendations of what to bring along before going, and I will say some things I definitely needed, while others were available and I didn't need to pack. So here's my recommendation: Definitely bring: a Roku or Firestick - the cable was spotty and we liked being able to watch a show at night to wind down (though I will say that they internet isn't the fastest, so it didn't always keep up!) We also brought our own pool floats, and I was happy we did that. It made relaxing in the pool much easier. Because we did most of our own cooking vs going out, I brought along a few sharp knives because I prefer them, but the kitchen is well stocked. Also - if you plan to cook, bring along some spices that you know you'll use rather than have to buy everything!
We stayed in condo F71 and had 2 easy sets of stairs up to the condo. The condo was private, quiet, clean, and just enough space for the 4 of us. We arrived for check-in at 4 and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse about 15 minutes away. On Day 2 we drove the car to the on-site pool and had a great time! We ate dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. It was beautiful but had TERRIBLE food! Don’t waste your money!!! Day 3 we drove 40 minutes into St. Louis and went to the MO Botanical Gardens. Totally worth the trip and they had free wheelchairs. Afterwords we ate at SugarFire BBQ downtown. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!! INCREDIBLE dry rub bbq!!!! Day 4 we went to The Arch and ate lunch at Hi-Pointe (AWESOME) then went to The Selfie Room with our girls for an hour of fun pictures and silly time. We were so glad we didn’t stay IN St. Louis!! The condo was within 15 minutes of everything you need including Starbucks, restaurants, gas and groceries. We would stay here again!
