The perfect weekend getaway for my family and I. This was probably the best stocked house we’ve stayed in with plenty of little extras like coffee, creamer, spices, dish sponge, paper towels - all small things but so nice to have provided and not have to go out and get it! Also had a great assortment of pots, pans, baking dishes and utensils! Allison was great to work with, very responsive and helpful!

We saw the eclipse in totality and it was amazing! We arrived the day before and left the day after the eclipse so we never had the headaches of traffic. The house on Lake of Egypt was very nice but there were a few things minor but annoying (Right side of stove top didn’t work, Cobwebs all along ceiling and chandeliers,Screens damaged or missing in main floor bedrooms,The main floor screen is stuck, No dedicated workspace as presented on property page, Tear in Lilly pad). The kayaks were a huge hit with the kids and the marina was a short walk away for ping pong. Overall we had a great time and accepted the 100% increase in the nightly price because of the demand to see Eclipse …

We loved this property! In fact, we loved it so much that I’m hesitant to write a review - I don’t want it to get popular! 😂 The space was perfect for our extended family of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 infants. We loved watching the birds on the back deck and renting a pontoon boat was so easy. Such a relaxing way to spend Easter and I can’t wait to come back.
