Stephanie's house is on a lovely beach area with great views, which is why you come to the Bahamas very quiet and relaxing. The house had all you needed. She was quite responsive to my requests. Her caretaker Mr. King was a gem and he too was quite responsive. Would recommend.

If you would like a nice private beach house this is the property for you. Very typical Bahamas style. Stephanie is very nice to deal with.

We keep coming back. House is in a beautiful location and is very comfortable. Nice beach off the deck, but a bit rocky getting into the water. Nice snorkeling from the beach and a 10" walk away. The house is very comfortable and nicely laid out. Harrison is a great, helpful house manager, made dinner for us the first night--outstanding! Don't come if you want nightlife. The local folks are very friendly and welcoming. Fresh fish is available along with locally grown vegetables when we come in January. Banana Wind is a delightful place! Coming from -20 degrees in Montana, we love the climate! Stephanie has been attentive and accommodating. She provides a nicely detailed handout with all sorts of helpful, local information. We'll be back next year!

We had such a lovely time at Banana Wind cottage! If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this is the place to do it. There's a private beach for swimming and snorkeling, the reefs are gorgeous and teeming with fish and other sea life. The water is calm, clear, and pristine. There is a stretch of beach for walking, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and kayaks for exploring. We met Stephanie when she was dropping some things off, and she is a sweetheart. Harrison, the caretaker, is wonderful, checking in, bringing fresh fruit, and I highly recommend purchasing dinner delivery from him - it was some of the best food I've ever had. The island is quiet - it hasn't been developed like some of the other islands - so once you're there, be ready to settle in and relax. We swam, drove the length of the island, hiked, went down to the fish fry for food and local shopping, and hired a catamaran for a sunset cruise. The one big thing to remember is to try to prevent no-see-um (sp?) bites.

Banana Winds is an amazing beach front rental. It has everything a family could need for a Cat Island adventure. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. There was plenty of comfy furniture throughout the house that was well kept and clean. Each bedroom had a lot of room for our belongings and our children. It was awesome to have a separate AC in each bedroom as well. Ceiling to floor windows in the living and dining rooms allow for panoramic views of the beach and ocean - it was gorgeous to wake up to such a beautiful view. Banana Wind has a very large wrap around deck which allowed for plenty of sitting time while kids played in the sand as well as a good location to store our snorkel gear. The outside shower was super useful too. We used the provided kayaks almost every day as well. We had a great on island caretaker too - he was easy to get in touch with and brought us amazing food and suggestions when requested. Would 100% stay here again and recommend to everyone.
