The apartment has every essential, plus. It is modern, with clean and fresh decor. We walked 15 minutes to coffee shops, restaurants and to the beach. We ubered from the airport, and walked or used the local central system ($2 per person). Check in and check out could not have been easier. We could not have been more pleased, or satisfied. This guest house was perfect for 2, but does have a couch for an add on. Will definitely stay again when in the Huntington Beach area.

Toby’s place is amazing! Clean, comfy and stylish. 10 mins walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Toby is friendly and responsive, I will come back to his place again!

Thank you Toby for a wonderful stay! With the easy 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants, we were able to enjoy the beach and local restaurants at will without having to worry about parking. After spending our days out, it was nice to have a well maintained, clean, and cozy place to call home. I highly recommend!

Best Airbnb stay yet and we’ve stayed at 20 plus. Property is fantastic. Less than 10 minutes from HB pier and Pacific City. Very walkable and we’d have been fine without a vehicle. Toby and Ruby are tremendous hosts and we look forward to staying at their property very soon.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Modern Beach Retreat. It was a short 10 min walk to the beach, and also very close to lots of food, bars, coffee shops, etc. The place has every amenity imaginable, including robes, a hot water kettle, filtered water in the fridge, a steamer, and so much more. The bed was soft but comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. The space was perfect for a solo traveler or maybe a couple. It was private, and easy to find. Toby was so friendly, I wish I would have stayed longer. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks Toby for a great stay!
