We enjoyed our stay at Antonio’s apartment at Coronado Golf Club. Antonio was great to deal with. Responses were prompt and took care of my questions. We worried the suite would be small for two months but it is bigger than it looks and well equipped with a four burner stove top and a full sized fridge with a big freezer. There are loads of pots, pans and dishes. We compared notes with friends who also rented suites and ours was much better equipped. The shower is lovely. It has lots of pressure and a good supply of hot water. But it is slow to drain. The only other issue was a lack of lighting over the sink in the kitchen. We bought a battery powered light and stuck it above the sink. We left it for future renters. This is a great long term rental for golfers. Pro shop is a two min walk. Check in was easy despite arriving in the middle of the night. Antonio kindly allowed us to check in early. He also saved our bacon when our driver was a no show. He found us a replacement.

The resort does show it’s age and needs some up dates, however the staff was great and the grounds were peaceful. It was low season and we really had the place to ourselves most of the time. I loved the large pool and all the places to relax. We were able to connect to Wifi at most places around the resort, and of course in the room. The apartment itself is comfortable and the kitchen is fairly well stocked for cooking which we did most every night of our month long stay. Without a car, there are few restaurant options and shopping is far away. We are experienced travelers without a car and we rode the bus, and used the taxis…. It was fun. Do not call a taxi… just stand outside at the bus stop, (take the bus if it arrives before a taxi) Offer the taxi a $1(or $2). The bus is $.50 and he knows you were there to take the bus. Sometimes others will join you:) And Expats sometimes stop to pick you up:) If you take the bus from Albrook, get a GRANDE bus… not the van. It’s about $2.50

Antonio was always responsive and extremely accommodating. We stayed a month and enjoyed cooking most nights, the pools and the pickle ball…. And being “rainy season”, which really has been wonderful, sunny most mornings and some days no rain at all… there is hardly anyone here at the Club. We have the pool to ourselves! We joined the mostly ex-pat pickle ball group on M/W/F/SAT. It was a lively group of about 20 players, very kind and inviting to 2 rather beginner players:)! Walking to the beach is nice, and the shuttle to the private beach is fun. We were without a car and getting around is easy… there is a collectivo shuttle $.50 to the hwy where all the markets are. If you have too much stuff to carry for the bus back, a taxi is $2, $3 for 2 people. And sometimes just standing at the bus stop outside the resort, other ex-pats will stop to pick you up :).
