The house was lovely, it was quite expensive, but the beds were comfy and once the fire was lit it was quite warm, maybe less good in very cold weather! There were a huge amount of rules to follow and lots of notes with instructions everywhere you turned, which felt a bit much and made it difficult to relax. The cooking utensils in the kitchen were very limited making it tricky to cook for 6, if you were the full 8 I think you might have struggled. Checkout at 10am seems very early considering the cost. However, Overall a lovely visit with great friends in a comfortable environment.

An amazing place to spend the weekend away! The photos do not do this place justice. Beautiful cottage, fantastic location, will 100% be going back. Hot tub is fantastic. Could not recommended more!

If you read the other reviews they're all accurate. Its better than the pictures and a great space. Plus the location is good for routes to York, Hull and Beverley. The place does heat up with the fire and stays warm too but I think it should be made more clear that theres no central heating. Only gripes is the upstairs shower is way too tempermental on the temperature and I agree with the previous review about the notes being a bit "shouty". Other than that its a great space and would recommend to others if its in budget!

Had the best time staying here. Photos don’t do the place justice. It was so much nicer in person. The fire was the only challenge to keep the place warm. But once we sussed it - it was very cosy. Hot tub was fab but needed to turn switch on at the wall as it was switched off on arrival. Very cute leaving is some Prosecco and crisps when we arrived too. Super responsive to questions and would defo book again.
