This is a great place to stay if traveling with or without your dog. It is a peaceful, shaded setting with a small fenced area if you need to let your dog out (note the fence is low, fine for small dogs but would not contain a bigger dog). If your dog has a pretty reliable recall (mine does), you will LOVE the large yard behind the cottage to play ball, relax at the firepit or garden seating. The house is super cute and clean - comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen. There are many amenities (restaurants, grocery, gas, etc) within 3-5 miles - I would definitely stay here again!

My dog and I stayed 2 nights at Harold’s. I have to say I was disappointed. The instructions said the keyless entry was at the front door which was incorrect. It was at the side door. There had been a LOT of rain so the yard was full of weeds and those green sticky things that cling to everything. He did say I could park around the back so I did and that is where the lock was . The listing states a FENCED yard which one assumes would be secure. However, the front gate had no lock… only a rock nearby…so not secure. Acting glass and several utensils were dirty. Bed sheets were stained , he brought me new sheets the second day. I might have been there at a bad time but i felt like it was more like a side business than a welcoming stay. The property looked like it would be nice if mowed but like I said major rain storms had just been in the area. The layout is nice.

What a wonderful stay! We came here to visit my mother and stayed at Harolds place. The place was very cozy and clean. Harold was always very responsive and polite. They even had snacks and water waiting for us! We will stay here whenever we visit my mother!
