Great central location, large house, generally clean. Couldn't sit at kitchen bench as bar stools too high and only 3 chairs that worked around other table. To feed 8 people 5 people had to stand and it's an easy fix to raise kitchen bench (or change stools). Bathroom "shabby" but works. Barely enough kitchen crockery/cutlery for all guests. A little more attention to these issues would make it fantastic as the house is beautiful and in a prime location. Maybe basic supplies like glad wrap, salt and pepper etc.. would be welcoming as well.

The house is in a nice location in the town. It is surrounded by a lovely yard and provides good car parking. The state of the house (i.e. its overall cleanliness, state of repair, quality of furnishings and kitchen equipment), although adequate and serviceable, meant that its price was on the steep side.

Overall, we were happy with our stay and the house was spacious and comfortable. There were a few minor maintenance issues which wouldn't be hard to resolve. We found that the kitchen wasn't well set up for self-catering with a lack of basic equipment, and the dining furniture was an odd choice with two different tables with only 4 seats (or stools) each. The location was great, walking distance to the town centre, easy to access and park. There was some noise one evening (early morning!) from an adjacent holiday rental. We'd probably stay again.
