You can easily reach different parts of Maramures if headquartered here (Barsana, Rohia, Botiza, Sighet, Ocna Sugatag, Cavnic etc.), but you can also spend peaceful days enjoying the nature or activities such as hiking, biking or using the ATV on the hills around. A comfortable rural home centrally located in a large village. Casa Catalina used to be my grandmother's house and is named after her. We redid the interior completely in 2021 and transformed it into a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Bucharest, where we currently live and from where we escape to Maramures as often as possible. Since we don't get to use it as often as we wish, we are prepared to share it with mindful guests in search of some quiet days in a spacious environment, in the countryside but with all the comforts we've grown accustomed to. It was fully renovated in 2021, the furniture are new and custom made. It is a comfortable place, very quiet because it is away from the main road. During summertime it keeps a permanent chilly temperature. We designed it to be a home away from home, so guests have everything they need for self-catered stays, whether short or long. If you need any additional items my parents live in the house next door and will help you gladly. You can enjoy some days of rest or have a more active stay - hiking, biking or just walking around the village. Children will have a chance to see operational households, chicken, livestock and pets and also see how a vegetable garden is tended to and flourishes. If you only have a few days to wind down an authentic rural stay will help. If you want to travel around we are very well placed for you to make Casa Catalina your headquarters for a few days in Maramures.
