We had a wonderful stay at the Stewart Apartment on Penninghame Estate where I stayed for a week to celebrate my 60th and my mother's 90th birthdays. The accommodation was ideal with single beds in all but one of the rooms. The location was perfect and we didn't want to leave! The staff at Penninghame could not have been more helpful and were very responsive to any requests. Gary brought us extra chairs and a table for outdoors as well as setting up the BBQs and fire pits, Margo & Simon brought us glasses, cloths, towels and loo rolls and nothing was too much bother, Katrina in housekeeping ensured the beds were changed at the swap over day and kept the place clean, Deborah co-ordinated it all and kept the best secret when my cousin flew in from Arizona and booked another lodge on the estate and Karen, a local piper, even played Happy Birthday for us on her pipes! It was the perfect retreat for a special occasion with family and friends. I would love to come back, highly recommended!

It’s a very quirky place, but this adds to the charm. Don’t expect super luxury, but everything worked, everything was clean, there was plenty of space (even if the whole 11-person capacity was used), and the grounds are beautiful. Kitchen is more of a galley - fine for making breakfast and heating up pre-prepared food, but I wouldn’t want to try to cook anything from scratch for a full house. Fine for 3-4 though. Decent bedding, lots of pillows, tea-towels, Wi-Fi and a lovely welcome pack. Also had the thickest bath towels I’ve ever encountered! We’ll recommended.

The place was amazing and has all the amenities. It says 2 baths but has 3 bathroom. Its has a grand living room. Surround area is so green and beautiful. Its little difficult to locate as I think the instructions given were for someone who is travelling from England. Host was very friendly and helped us set bonfire and BBQ. Also helped us to find some good places to visit.
