By coming to Eagle's Nest, you will have the unique opportunity to walk through a traditional Mayan neighborhood in the quaint spiritual village of San Marcos la Laguna.
Walk up (or take a tuctuc) through town and greet the locals:
+ In Spanish: "Hola" or "Buenos Dias"
+ In Kaqchiquel Mayan language: "Baná" or "Sacach"
Downtown, there is a main pedestrian avenue that leads to the main dock. This is also known locally as "Hippy Highway ;-)". There you will find many cute cafés, restaurants, travel agencies, gift shops, cacao!

Our hosting team can help you with guidance to get around San Marcos la Laguna & book any private transport you may need pre/post & during your stay with us.
* Usually by foot (10 minutes walk down to town center, 7 minutes to nearest lake beach)
* Tuctuc (from town center "Eagle's Nest Barrio 2" - Cost q5-10 per person)
* Boat/Lancha (to other towns around the lake notably San Pedro, Panajachel)
* Tourist Shuttle/Private Taxi (to/from Airport or Antigua)
