Well after a very stressful week with work and school this overnight trip was so needed. It was blissful, peaceful, gorgeous watching the kids and dog run free exploring. Best part is you could actually relax with the dog and kids. John was an amazing host and we will definately be back soon!

John was a wonderful host, and such a kind person. He was very nice since the very first communication, and then in person even more. He is very keen to make your stay as good as possible and he also seek for feedback and ideas. The space is beautiful, tranquil and with lots of things to do. It is by a river and you can do canoeing, bird watching, or just painting or meditating. There is a treehouse and some play equipments for kids and grown ups, including bikes. I think it will be a proper paradise in summer and with warm weather, unfortunately it caught us a bit by surprise as it was quite cold, and it was a bit uncomfortable to use the toilet at night or cook in the common space kitchen. Perhaps we didn't understand fully the description, but we still had a lovely time and will try and come back again in summer. Thank you again, John!

We wanted to stay in a local area near TwinLakes, and this gave our family a good opportunity to wind down after our visit to the amusement park. Our kids were able to stretch their legs, and even get on the river via the canoes (life vests provided for kids). They had toys out for the children to use, and our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Each structure had an interesting story to it, and the place truly had character. The description provided was an honest one, so don’t expect a “hotel.” But it was definitely an experience you can call a retreat worth repeating.

Everybody had such a wonderful time. There was freedom to roam, and john as the host could not have been more helpful! It was so beautiful and peaceful, the kids loved the canoes so much that they’ve asked for lessons and been promptly signed up! We will definitely be back, and can’t wait!
