Perfect place for our visit. Quiet and secluded but still close to Jonesborough and Johnson City. We came to visit family and a local trade show and extended our stay to fully enjoy the cabin and the surroundings. The cabin is everything as pictured and more. Clean, well- appointed. Comfortable beds, beautifully furnished. High end linens, decor and amenities but not pretentious. Nice recommendations to restaurants and house binder had info on local hikes and historical places. Quick and friendly response to any questions. Lots of thoughtful touches like the s’mores, firewood, rockers on the screened porch, games, some toiletries and even a jewelry cabinet in the bedroom. Bill especially liked the ceiling heater in the bathroom and the gas grill. We loved morning walks by the river, “happy hour” to watch the sun set over the trees and spotting wildlife ( turkeys, the bear cam and so many gorgeous flowers). Thank you. We will be back.

The hosts were very responsive and very helpful with great local recommendations. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy (exactly what we wanted!) We absolutely loved the seclusion with the beautiful mountains and the peaceful river view from the back porch. Loved the Biltmore wine welcome package and the Christmas tree! A very relaxing and wonderful getaway vacation.

We had the great opportunity to stay in this wonderful cabin for 3+ weeks while in town to spend time with my in-laws. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The beds, oh my, SUPER COMFY! The house was very well appointed with anything/everything we needed to “live” there for our stay. We cooked in most nights utilizing the grill downstairs. The grounds and the river are beyond spectacular. The covered porch with two perfect rockers to sit and watch the wildlife and listen to the lapping river was perfect. We experienced all weather (even a freeze) and the AC and heater were both utilized. Heats up and cools down quickly! We had to extend our stay for a few days and Helen and Jeff were more than accommodating in working with us to extend. We met Helen and their daughter who are such nice and good humans - as is Jeff who called and gave us excellent recommendations of where to eat, fish and hike. The stay was way better than we had expected. This is THE place!

Wonderful retreat on the river! The fishing is great with tons of waterfowl to watch. We got some good laughs watching a territorial blue heron chase off a white heron three mornings in a row. Our dogs loved the freedom afforded by the property as well. Definitely on our short list of staycation spots.
