I couldn't recommend enough! Irene is a charming, helpful and accommodating host. She not only agreed for me to check-in early but also provided helpful tips and recommendations for my very first day in Malta. My room had a private bathroom and a small window toward the internal well (it was very quiet), it was great. The house is perfectly situated, just 5 min away from the promenade, ferry and bus stops allowing for easy commute. To top it all off, her place is a traditional Maltese townhouse - SO cozy! I enjoyed this stay immensely and would love to visit again.

Basic no frills, clean room. One of the beds had firm matress and the other had a soft topper, which was very comfortable for me as I like plush beds. What was not clear from the pictures, is that there is only one window and it is facing a tiny internal well inside the house, so there is no way to let fresh air into the room and I felt the air was a bit stale. The A/C worked well, but it circulates same air. I might be too picky in this regard, I am obsessed with air quality and always sleep with an open window, so probably most folks would not mind this at all. The bed sheets were worn out and had quite a lot of human hair stuck on them. I am sure they were properly washed but it was still a bit unpleasant. The kitchen was well stocked if you are inclined to cook, there is tea, coffee, cereals and milk in the shared fridge, so you can make a nice breakfast. The host is very sweet, friendly and accomodating. Overall, a very good value for the price.

Irene's place is amazing! Such a nice size bedroom and bathroom and she was such a gracious host. The beds are also super comfortable. Great location that makes it easy to get to Valletta and other areas by bus.
