Casa Limonero is situated in the heart of the pueblo and you will be involved in the daily life of this traditional village. Casarabonela is a municipality of 2,500 people, many of whom live in the surrounding countryside. This is a working town with an agricultural tradition principally olives, citrus fruit and almonds. The village is perfectly located for an 'away from it all' stay and yet only 40 minutes from Malaga airport and the beaches of the Costa del Sol. Trips to Granada, Cordoba and Ronda amongst others can be accomplished in a day, with the ravishing turquoise lakes of Ardales and the Caminito del Rey being even closer. In spring you could be on the beach in the morning and skiing in the Sierra Nevada in the afternoon! Casarabonela is situated in the Sierra de las Nieves and is part of the UNESCO Biosphere which acknowledges the importance of this area as a nature reserve and home to important flora and fauna. As you would expect this allows for some amazing hiking, cycling, bird watching and all manner of outdoor pursuits. On a local level the village is well served by a number of bars and restaurants plus banks, a pharmacy, health centre, butcher/fishmonger/greengrocer and in addition has probably the most beautifully appointed municipal swimming pool in all Andalusia! Commanding one of the best views in the village the piscina is also home to a wonderful Argentinian barbecue restaurant open all year round.

Being a hillside village, the streets are steep and not suited to those with mobility issues. The house is situated on a narrow street with no vehicular access so parking will be in the nearby public car park. As Casa Limonero is so central the bars, shops, restaurants and all amenities are right on the doorstep.
