Skvělé místo, v celém apartmánu jsem byla sama, jinak má každou ložnici uzamykatelnou. Společné prostory jsou velká kuchyň, jídelna a obývací pokoj. parkování hned u budovy.

Ubytování bylo velmi pěkné, čisté, je tam krásná společenská místnost se vším,co je potřeba k uvaření, v pokoji bylo čisto,koupelna malá a útulná,která stačila na běžnou potřebu, nádherný praktický sprchový kout. Byla jsem velmi spokojená,příště si ubytování určitě objednám zase tady. Všem doporučuji. 👍

Alexandra’s place is a very good and cosy appartment. It is large and clean and you have a large separate bedroom with private bathroom to it. The price is more than fair for what you get. We travelled with a baby, so the separate bedroom was ideal. There is a cot available for a baby, but we brought our own. The shower in the bathroom gives good pressure and hot water (in contrast to some other places we’ve been to). There seem to be more bedrooms, but we booked only the master bedroom, so the other rooms were locked. The living room has a cosy corner, where you can relax. The appartment is on top of the garden centre in a small shopping mall, which is just next to the main road. Nevertheless, the appartment is very quiet, as the garden centre is behind the mall: you don’t hear the cars. When you arrive, just park your car in front of the garden centre and go into the shop. The mall has a supermarket, which is nearly always open, so you have direct access to fresh food when you arrive. In her garden centre, Alexandra sells local (red and white) wine in plastic bottles of 1 litre for a really good price, which you cannot get from the supermarket. These wines are excellent! The only problem was that there was only 1 wine glass in the appartment ;-). Alexandra is very friendly, but she does not speak much foreign languages, so most of the communication was done via her daughter, who is equally friendly. The place Slavkov, of which we had not heard before we came, appears to be also known as “Austerlitz”, the same place where Napoleon managed to defeat the joint armies of Austria and Russia, even though his army was in the minority (70000 against 90000). In honour of his victory, Napoleon, who then also ruled the Netherlands, renamed a Dutch village to Austerlitz, and the place still carries this name. The French soldiers also installed a pyramid-like monument in this Dutch village, in commemoration of their victory. We spent some time exploring the different historical traces of this battle in the region around the appartment: officlal ones, such as the cairn of peace, but there are also many contemporary references to the battle: a local concrete factory has painted its silo’s as French soldiers, overlooking the fields! Alexandra’s place is a good place to stay for several days. We would like to come back.

Hezke a ciste prostredi, uzasna a klidna lokalita. Pani domaci moc fajn a maji bezvadne jezirko. 🙂
