This was a wonderful location for a winter getaway with children and friends! It's a rustic cabin, so if you need something specific I'd recommend bringing your own. Also, it had sharp knives! I'm an enthusiastic cook and that was an unexpected treat.

We enjoyed our stay overall! The location was perfect for what we wanted—very close to the pass. We watched the annular eclipse from the beach at Crescent Lake about 7 minutes away. The house sits right on a lovely little creek, with a partially covered deck with a nice small hot tub. It felt fairly private, as no one was home next door. The home is kind of odd, with a large, very dim living room good only for screen time even at midday—only low lumen yellow (or blue-white unshaded) LED Edisons. Multiple small rooms on slightly different levels without clear purpose. 2 nice king bedrooms, but the bunk room is cold and small. Cleaning was the BIG issue, with some dirty dishes in cabinets, trash and used q-tips in 1 trash can, evidence of many rats in the garage/“exercise room,” but NOT inside the home. 1 shower and 1 toilet were scrubbed prior to use. We didn’t complain during the stay (and paid in full,) as we were already there, it was a good location, and we know how to clean.

The house was beautiful. The back patio was our favorite and we spent majority of our stay outside enjoying the view of the creek. It is a secluded area so it’s a nice place to just decompress. The stars at night were incredible too. The home is very spacious. I’d highly recommend the place for big groups and if you’re looking for a low key place to relax as there is not a lot around town. Bend is only an hour away if you want to check out a bigger town. Only had a few minor issues when we arrived such as the lights on the back patio did not work. Ryan was responsive when I mentioned the lights weren’t working. It was just a bummer nothing could be done before our stay. Overall a beautiful place.

Perfect weekend getaway! Great location, quiet, peaceful, and super relaxing. Will definitely return again!
