Bait and Switch In April 2023 we booked Casa Carlotta for the 2024 eclipse. We selected the house because it had a king bed and for its location. Three days before we were scheduled to arrive, we were told the house would not be available but we could stay at the another house she owned, Casa Jan. Although the house was also a three bedroom, two bath it did not have a king bed and was on the other side of town. We attempted to find another house around the same price with a king bed and in the area of Casa Carlotta but because it was three days before the eclipse the only houses in Del Rio or surrounding towns available were over $3,000 a night. Based on the Airbnb policy all they would do if help us find a new place at a similar price and since none not available we did not call them. Any hotels with rooms available were more expensive than the Airbnb. Since we had no options, we agreed to stay at Casa Jan.

Charlotte went out of her help me out several times during my 3 month stay. Perfect location for everything I wanted to do and the house was very clean and furnished with everything that I needed. I didn't want to leave! But all good things come to an end.

Charlottes place was great! When we arrived the grass was a bit high due to rain but she was quick to get someone over to mow yard which was great! Washer didn’t work but she let us no beforehand and was more than willing to give us are money back but we were okay without it. Our two little boys loved the place as well! The place is close to a lot of wonderful areas including the winery and splash-pad and your local HEB! We can’t wait to come back!
