My friend and I visited Luray to hike and to kayak and we can’t say enough good things about Al and Valerie’s place. It was in a private country setting right on the river. The covered porch had a ceiling fan and overlooked a beautiful meadow. There were plenty of places that were easy to put kayaks in. We loved bird watching and making a fire pit in the evening by the river. The home was cozy and nicely updated in the kitchen and bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was so quiet at night. The hosts were the nicest I’ve met, so personable and responsive to questions. We would highly recommend this place for anyone coming to vacation or just to unwind with nature.

The stay in Lurray was perfect for myself and family. The space was very comfortable and welcoming. It was also well stocked with everything you may need to stay in and cook or to save you a trip to town. The location was beautiful and peaceful nestled in rolling fields and farms. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Hosts were welcoming and easily accessible. House was spotless and well taken care of. Everything looks like the pictures. Beds were comfy! May want to message hosts to see if the tree in front of the dock is removed. Husband wasn't able to successfully fish due to the tree being in the way.

We stayed here for 2 nights! It was great! The place has beautiful mountain views. It was very peaceful and quiet. House was cozy and lovely! It was very clean and is as seen in the pictures. We had everything that we needed in the kitchen. Just loved how the place was so organized with everything labeled!
