We rented the West Nest because the great reviews, the property description, the proximity to north Waco (~20 miles/32 km), and the hosts did not jack-up the price like mainstream hotels in Dallas, Waco, and places in between for the total solar eclipse on 8 Apr '24. The West Nest is full of amenities, the interior of the house has a rustic vibe, and Jacob and Robin are responsive to inquiries. The West Museum and Slovacek's West are worth visiting while there. Most significant attractions are in north Waco such as the Cameron Zoo, the Texas Ranger Museum, the Doris Miller Park (who has a Ford-class aircraft carrier being built in his name), Joanna and Chip Gaines' Magnolia Silo district featured on HGTV, Mammoth National Monument, the Dr. Pepper Museum, and the Chisholm Trail Suspension Bridge.

Very comfortable. Everything you could possible need, was provided. Very thoughtfully stocked and decorated. Thank you! Twenty minutes or so from Magnolia in Waco. Easy and quick to the highway.
